Anti Rabis Vaccines

Anti-rabies vaccines such as Vaxirab, Chirorab, Abhayrab, and Speeda are used to help protect individuals against rabies infection after possible exposure from animal bites or scratches. These vaccines work by stimulating the body’s immune system to produce antibodies against the rabies virus, helping prevent the disease from developing when administered promptly and according to the recommended schedule. They are commonly used in Animal Bite Treatment Centers (ABTCs), hospitals, and clinics as part of post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), and in some cases for pre-exposure protection for high-risk individuals. While the brands may differ by manufacturer, they all serve the same purpose of providing active immunity against rabies when handled and administered properly. Anti-rabies vaccines should be stored under strict cold-chain conditions at 2°C to 8°C to maintain effectiveness and are typically given through intramuscular or intradermal administration under medical supervision.
