Hepatitis Vaccines

Hepatitis vaccines, commonly known as Hepa vaccines, help protect the liver from viral infections caused by Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B. Hepatitis A is usually spread through contaminated food or water, while Hepatitis B spreads through blood and body fluids and can lead to serious conditions such as liver cirrhosis or liver cancer. The Hepa vaccines work by helping the body build immunity against these viruses without causing the disease itself. Hepatitis A vaccines are generally given in 2 doses, while Hepatitis B vaccines are commonly administered in a 3-dose schedule and are also recommended for newborns within 24 hours after birth. These vaccines are widely used in hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and occupational health programs, and must be stored under proper cold-chain conditions at 2°C to 8°C to maintain their effectiveness.
